The net average wage in the extractive industry has gained over 50% last year

Workers in extractive, construction and other non-metallic mineral products (including glass, clay, ceramic, porcelain, concrete, cement and plaster) have been the big winners of the 2019 earnings growth. According to a statement issued on Tuesday morning by the National Institute of Statistics, the employees in the extractive activities were increased their salaries by over 50% last year, reaching just over 3,400 lei. At the opposite end, in the forestry the average net wage decreased by almost 20%, according to Hotnews.ro.

The highest values of net average earning were registered in IT&C (7,689 lei), and the lowest in garment manufacturing (1,853 lei).

Compared to December of the previous year, the average net earnings increased by 13.0%.
