Liberals have proposed some of their party colleagues for positions in important institutions, “based on professionalism, political representativeness and balance within the party”, said president Raluca Turcan, after a meeting of the party’s National Political Bureau.

Teodor Atanasiu, former MP from Alba, is proposed as a member within the ANRE’s Regulatory Committee, Eugen Nicolaescu – Deputy Governor at BNR (for replacing Bogdan Olteanu), Sulfina Barbu – Member of CNSAS and Anca Boagiu – Chairman of the Audit Authority within the Court of Auditors.

The Parliament’s Plenary rejected last week the proposals for appointing Rodin Traicu as vicepresident and two members within the Regulatory Committee – Mihai Albulescu and Florin Claudiu Roman, in the leadership of the National Regulatory Authority for Energy – ANRE.

In addition to the three vacant positions, in October 2017, the mandates of President Niculae Havrilet and vicepresident Emil Calota, as well as for two members of the Regulatory Committee, expire. Therefore, the Parliament must appoint the entire senior management team of ANRE in the coming period.

For two years, ANRE has been operating with a leadership and a Regulatory Committee in an incomplete formula, the appointments of the second vicepresident and of two members of the Committee being abandoned in Parliament, despite numerous hearings.
