Schneider Electric Romania has inaugurated its new headquarters in Bucharest, in the Globalworth Campus, a space of approximately 2,300 square meters designed as a technological showcase and a statement of positioning. The company aims to be not only a major technology provider, but above all a partner that focuses on efficiency (energy, process, and operational) and sustainability.
In this context, company representatives say they are optimistic about the coming year: “We see 2026 as a good year, just like 2025, a year of growth.”
Global trends are increasingly being felt in Romania, noted Lucian Enaru, Country General Manager Schneider Electric for Romania, Moldova, and Armenia. These include the pressure of climate change on infrastructure and consumption, accelerated investment in renewable sources, and the need for network resilience. The impact of climate change translates into higher consumption and new performance requirements for equipment, and the energy mix is increasingly dominated by renewables. At the same time, investments in solar/wind/hydro come with a “technology requirement” throughout the chain, from production to transport and distribution. Thus, Schneider Electric representatives note the shift from intuition-based decisions to data-driven management.
In the local market, the company’s role as an “Energy Technology Partner” is closely linked to this transition to electrification, automation, and digitalization—not only for buildings, but also for processes and infrastructure.
New headquarters for the future
The new headquarters is built precisely as a practical example of this approach. The space is fully digitized, and energy and climate performance is monitored in real time using the company’s software solutions: Zeigo tracks carbon footprint and decarbonization plans, and Resource Advisor centralizes energy consumption and CO₂ emissions, with data displayed transparently in the office.
The headquarters is a showcase for solutions and software presented to customers, first used “at home” to see how they work before being implemented in projects.
The building where Schneider Electric operates has BREEAM Excellent and WELL Platinum certification and runs exclusively on renewable energy, supporting zero Scope 2 emissions. A solar power generation system will also be commissioned shortly, comprising 12 panels (5.46 kWp) and 16 kWh storage batteries.
The company aims to gradually convert its vehicle fleet to 100% electric. It already has 10 EVlink Pro AC (11 kW) stations for charging electric vehicles, integrated with EV Charging Expert for real-time monitoring, reservations, and optimization.
The “smart office” concept is complemented by intelligent lighting, air conditioning, and air quality management systems, plus natural light control, automated for optimal consumption and a comfortable working experience. The pandemic “has greatly changed the way we relate to the office,” say representatives of Schneider Electric Romania, and the design of the new headquarters responds to this diversity of working styles. “It’s not just a smart office, but a concrete demonstration of Schneider Electric’s commitment to efficiency and respect for the climate. It is a place where technology comes to life, and the positive impact can be seen and measured in real time.”
