Romgaz helps the Romanian Red Cross with 1.25 mln. lei in its fight against the coronavirus

Thanks to the help of Romgaz, the Romanian Red Cross acquires and distributes 1 million medical masks for protection against COVID-19 and intensifies the effort to combat the spread of the new Coronavirus on the Romanian territory, by amplifying the national information and awareness campaign of the population regarding the prevention methods against the new COVID-19, according to a release sent to energynomics.ro.

Adrian Volintiru, general manager Romgaz, said: “Together for Romania! This is the message I want to convey during this period. Solidarity, empathy for our fellow citizens, humanity and responsibility must be the attributes that guide us more than ever today and in the coming period. I call on all the economic agents that can contribute to the support of the state institutions in the fight with the new COVID-19 virus, not to hesitate, as we see that sustained efforts are being made to save human lives and reduce the spread of the virus. Today, we must show that the Romanians are united and only together we will be able to overcome this difficult period.”

Volunteers of the Romanian Red Cross from the 47 branches in the country of the organization will distribute during this period medical masks, liquid soap, solid soap, surface cleaning products and hand sanitizer, and for the correct information of the population, the organization sends information materials at national level, both in urban and rural areas, through traditional means of communication or in the online environment.
