Romgaz donates 800,000 euros to equip the ATI sections of the emergency hospital in Sibiu

Romgaz announced today in an online press conference that it offered 3.98 million lei in financial support to the Sibiu County Emergency Clinical Hospital for the extension and endowment of the Anesthesia and Intensive Care clinical unit in order to be prepare for the treatment of Covid-19 patients.

“We have decided to allocate the money to support the medical staff and to help the patients affected by Covid-19,” said Adrian Volintiru, Romgaz director general, in a press release. “In the next period we will support other medical units that need all the support in this fight with an unseen, but a redoubtable enemy,” said Romgaz chief.

The money offered by the company will be allocated by the management of the emergency hospital in Sibiu, according to their needs, strictly for the mitigation of the crisis generated by the Covid-19 epidemic. As the hospital is under the coordination of the Sibiu County Council, Daniela Cîmpean, the president of the county council insisted that the money will be used only to expand the capacity of the ATI section.

The present financial contribution continues the series of financial support for the Sibiu County Emergency Clinical Hospital, which has benefited in the last three years of about 2,600,000 lei for the purchase of medical equipment in the Ophthalmology section, the ATI and Cardiology II section.

Since the beginning of the emergency situation, Romgaz has supported the Romanian Red Cross to purchase and distribute 1,000,000 medical masks for protection against Covid-19 and to intensify the effort to combat the spread of the new coronavirus on the Romanian territory.
