The National Natural Gas Company Romgaz has announced the continuation of exploration within the XIX Neptun perimeter, but also the initiation of new exploration activities to identify and evaluate the energy potential of the Black Sea. Exploration activity is an important component of the company’s development strategy in both the offshore and onshore segments, the press release states.

“The Neptun Deep perimeter in the Black Sea represents an important investment area for our company and we are determined to successfully carry out development and exploration projects, which have a special significance in the group’s investment share. For his part, Aristotel Jude, Deputy General Manager of Romgaz, emphasized that the extension of the exploration phase in Neptun Deep is the successful result, in the national strategic interest, of negotiations between the Government of Romania, the National Regulatory Authority for Mining, Petroleum and Geological Storage of Carbon Dioxide and the Holders of the Neptun Deep Concession Agreement.

“We continue Romgaz’s firm commitment to making investments in the energy sector in Romania, in line with the company’s development strategy and strategic objectives in the energy sector,” he stated.
