Romania will host, on 15 and 16 October 2025, one of the most relevant conferences dedicated to European clean energy cooperation – Nordic Solutions for Green Transition. The event, organized by Energynomics together with the embassies of Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Iceland, will bring together policy makers, business leaders, technology providers and sustainability experts from all over Europe at Biavati Events in Bucharest.
During two days of debates and presentations, the conference will explore key themes for Romania’s and Europe’s energy future: the expansion of renewables, industrial decarbonization, storage and flexibility solutions, energy efficiency and financing the green transition. Participants will discover how Nordic experience in public policies, clean technologies and sustainable governance can inspire solutions adapted to the Romanian context.
The event will be honored by the participation of the ambassadors of the five Nordic countries, together with representatives of the Romanian Ministry of Energy and regulatory bodies, to underline the openness for bilateral cooperation. Key topics will include the Nordic experience of balancing competitiveness and sustainability, as well as instruments to support innovation and just transition.
Strong business representation
The panels will feature speakers from leading companies and institutions such as ANRMPSG, Arctic Green Engineering, Bellona Foundation, Bothnia Green Energy, Det Norske Veritas (DNV), EIB Group Office in Romania, EMERGY, European Energy, Foratherm Kft., Gassnova, Innovation Norway, Kingspan, Logika Group, Nibe AB, OX2, Ramboll, Rockwool, Romanian Energy Efficiency Fund (FREE), Scatec, Steady Energy, VIMAB.
On the Romanian side, business leaders, regulators and local government representatives will bring a pragmatic perspective on how Nordic projects can be replicated or adapted to support emission reductions and increase economic competitiveness.
Innovation, dialog and youth engagement
The format of the event includes thematic panel sessions, pitch sessions with innovative technology solutions for the local market and a special educational component – “Nordic Inspirations: Youth Engagement”.
It will bring together Romanian students and young professionals, together with experts from the Nordic countries, to formulate conclusions and recommendations on accelerating the energy transition. The results of this workshop will be presented later in the conference plenary.
Partnerships for a more integrated and resilient Europe
“Nordic Solutions for Green Transition” is more than a conference – it is a platform for collaboration between Romania and the Nordic countries, aimed at identifying new joint projects, funding models and industrial innovation opportunities.
By bringing together those who design, build and regulate the energy transition, the event aims to demonstrate that sustainability and competitiveness can go hand in hand while strengthening Europe’s energy independence.
