Romania has sufficient renewable energy resources, according to 65% of the citizens, according to a sociological research within the “Sustainable Romania” project, which shows how public opinion relates to green energy sources and how it evaluates access to energy services.

The indicators refer to the Sustainable Development Objective SDG 7 “Clean and Affordable Energy”, within the National Strategy for Sustainable Development of Romania 2030.

Most consumers in Romania say that the supply of electricity is satisfactory, and 89% say they are “very” or “quite satisfied”.

Moreover, 65% of citizens believe that our country has sufficient renewable energy resources, and 33% would prefer to use solar energy. The results of the barometer also show that 63% of households are thermally insulated homes.
