PRESEE (Perpetuum Renewable Energy South East Europe) has signed the execution contracts (EPC) for the construction of a new photovoltaic park with integrated storage in Turda, marking the transition of the project from the development and authorization phase to the actual construction phase, writes Profit.ro.

The signing took place during an event organized at the Turda City Hall, in the presence of representatives of local authorities and partners involved. The Turda project is a hybrid energy park, located on 38 hectares in the municipality of Turda, Cluj County, which combines an installed photovoltaic power of 50.9 MWp with a battery storage system (BESS) of 117.6 MWh (29.4 MW, autonomy 4 hours). The total investment made by PRESSEE is estimated at approximately 40 million euros, and the commissioning (COD) is planned for 2027. The energy produced will be injected into the National Energy System through a 110/20 kV power station built on site, with the storage system taking over the surplus production and delivering it to the grid during peak consumption hours. The EPC contractor for the project is Allview Energy, the energy division of Visual Fan S.A. (BVB: ALW), a Romanian company from Brașov selected by PRESSEE following a competitive technical and commercial evaluation process. The collaboration is structured through two contracts: one “turnkey” (Full EPC), for the construction of the 50.9 MWp photovoltaic plant and the storage system (BESS), and a second one for the design and execution of the 20/110 kV transformer station — the essential infrastructure for connecting the investment to the National Energy System. The construction of the photovoltaic plant will be carried out by Allview Energy in partnership with Waldevar Energy S.R.L. Both contracts are concluded under the international standard FIDIC Silver Book 2017. The cumulative value of the two contracts awarded to Allview Energy is approximately 20 million euros, representing about half of the total investment of 40 million euros of the Turda project.

The Turda project (50 MWp, 120 MWh BESS, 40 million euro investment) will be followed, in a few months, by the start of construction works on the Hărman project (90 MWp, 200 MWh BESS, 70 million euro investment). I thank the Mayor of Turda and the entire team of the City Hall for the support provided throughout the development and authorization of this project.
