The new CEO of the Cluj-Napoca-based renewable energy contractor, Roxana Gureanu, has the mission, this year, of managing a 1 GW project portfolio, according to Transilvania Business.
Parapet Renewable has started construction work on a 16 MW photovoltaic park near Dresden, Saxony. In Germany, the company has several contracted works for 2026.
In Italy, it completed work on the photovoltaic park in Torremaggiore, Puglia region, the project being carried out by its office in this country, as a contractor for Light EPC services. It involved the installation of 5,664 photovoltaic modules, a total power of 4 MW.
The electricity produced in this photovoltaic park will be injected into Italy’s national transmission grid, directly contributing to decarbonization objectives and the consolidation of local renewable energy production.
Five photovoltaic parks in Italy
Parapet has four more photovoltaic parks under construction in different regions of Italy, with a capacity of 35 MW, to which another 90 MW will be signed later. This country becomes a strategic market for international development in 2026.
This month, Parapet poured the first foundations for the wind turbines in Brăila. Each turbine, with a capacity of 4.2 MW, will generate enough clean energy to cover the consumption of thousands of homes.
“A small step perhaps for the energy transition, an important reference point for Parapet, this is a pioneering project for us”, according to the company’s management.
In Romania, the company is developing a research project in the food industry carried out for the National Institute for Research and Development for Isotopic and Molecular Technologies Cluj, with its team of surveyors carrying out, in the first phase, the necessary measurements.
Four times bigger business

She has managed projects worth €1.7 billion so far and is on a mission to consolidate and grow Parapet’s activity internationally. She has also held coordination positions in the company Habau and the RePowerEU initiative, and is also a certified board member.
“In 2025, Parapet quadrupled its turnover and number of employees. This growth requires strengthening management to support the company’s strategic direction and the efficiency of our business lines”, says President Andrada Moldovan.
It owns 99% of the Cluj-Napoca-based company. For 2026, Parapet has a contracted portfolio of 1 GW in photovoltaic, wind and energy storage (BESS) projects. In Romania, it is carrying out 410 MWh of storage projects and 700 MW of photovoltaic and wind installation projects this year.
In Germany and Italy, markets where the company has offices and local coordinators, Parapet has signed contracts for 217 MW. Parapet is an EPC contractor for photovoltaic and wind projects and delivers fully integrated engineering, procurement and construction services.
Since its establishment, it has contributed to the installation of 2 GW of energy capacity in 15 countries. It has offices in Romania (Cluj, Bucharest), Germany (Nuremberg), Italy (Bergamo), with a portfolio of 450 projects, being profiled on design, engineering, procurement and maintenance solutions.
