Engie Romania CEO Nicolas Richard is the new president of the French Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture in Romania (CCIFER), according to a statement.
CCIFER marks 30 years of presence and representation in Romania and proposes a development plan for the next 30 years, currently having 600 active members who cumulate a turnover of over 47 billion euros,
“For 30 years, CCIFER has been providing a solid platform that successfully represents the development objectives in Romania of over 600 members of the Franco-Romanian business community who create over 260,000 jobs in the local economy. ‘Growing together’ is the motto that has guided us and continues to define our activity, and our mandate this year will focus, in addition to the annual objectives, on defining a development vision for Romania for the next 30 years, in line with the priorities of our community”, says Nicolas Richard.
In its 30 years of presence on the local market, CCIFER has organized over 1,500 events, provided strategic advice to over 900 companies and involved over 3,000 students in training or career counseling programs. Also, approximately 70% of CCIFER members come from the SME sector, so promoting public-private dialogue and a fiscal ecosystem that supports entrepreneurship and innovation are also important objectives of the chamber’s mandate in Romania.
Following the vote of CCIFER members, Cristina Bojică (Gruia Dufaut & Asociații) was elected vice president.
The management also includes: Anne-Sophie Bauwens (Carrefour), Fady Chreih (Regina Maria), Sebastien Demichelis (Groupama), Yann Derumeaux (Lea Broker), Serge Gonvers (Econos), Carl Al Khawand (Orange), Penelope Laigo (FM Logistic Romania & SEE), Matteo De Tomasi (Michelin), Franck Neel (OMV Petrom), Elena Pap (Up Romania), Richard Perrin (KPMG) – Treasurer, Flavia Popa (BRD Groupe Societe Generale) and Cecilia Tudor (Renault).
The censors’ committee is made up of: Raluca Ghiciușcă (Crowe), Adriana Mores (Noa Tax Advisors), Mădălina Radu (APEX Team International).
With cumulative investments of 12.9 billion euros and bilateral trade of over 11.7 billion euros in 2025, France remains a strategic economic partner for Romania, ranked among the top three investors.
