DRI, the subsidiary of DTEK Group that develops renewable energy projects in the EU, announced the appointment of Murat Cinar as Chief Executive Officer, effective September 3, 2025.
Cinar succeeds Ivan Geliukh, under whose leadership the company’s strategy and organizational structure were updated, the management team was strengthened, and the business model was improved, with a strong focus on sustainable growth, profitability, and operational efficiency. These changes have strengthened DRI’s position in the European renewable energy market, especially in its core markets – Croatia, Italy, Poland, and Romania.

With over 25 years of leadership experience in the telecommunications and technology sectors, Murat Cinar has held senior positions in over 10 international markets, including Sweden, Turkey, Ukraine, and Qatar.
Cinar began his career at Ericsson (1999–2010), where he coordinated the implementation and operation of large-scale networks in several countries. He subsequently served as Technical Director at Lifecell (2011–2015) in Ukraine, responsible for overseeing major infrastructure investments and network expansion strategies. In 2015, he was appointed CEO of Vega Telecom Group (2015–2021) – part of SCM Group, which includes DTEK – where he led organizational transformation, improved profitability and completed the sale of the company to Vodafone Ukraine. In 2021, he joined Korek Telecom as Chief Transformation Officer, and in 2022 took over the role of CEO, driving strategic growth and operational excellence for the company’s 12 million customers.
