More than a hundred employees of the National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE) have requested in court the suspension of documents aimed at the reorganization of the institution and the reduction of expenses, approved at the end of last year, as part of the reform undertaken by the Government led by Ilie Bolojan, according to News.ro.
The Bucharest Court of Appeal is expected to judge this request on Thursday, in administrative litigation. A similar request was also made at the Court of Appeal by over 150 employees of the Financial Supervisory Authority (ASF), with the case scheduled for trial on February 3. At the end of last year, the CAB ruled in favor of the over 330 employees of the National Communications Regulatory Authority (ANCOM) who contested the layoffs and income reductions included in the reorganization plan, thus blocking the application of these measures, given that, although not final, the decision is enforceable.
Thus, on Thursday, January 22, the Bucharest Court of Appeal, in administrative litigation, is the request to suspend the enforcement of certain acts approved at the end of last year, which aim to reorganize the National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE) and reduce expenses in the institution. The action of over a hundred plaintiffs, employees of ANRE, directed against the authority and its president, was registered with the Bucharest Court of Appeal on January 8.
According to data on the court portal, the subject of the case is the suspension of the enforcement of administrative acts – “Ord.84/17.12.2025, Dec.511/22.12.2025, Ord. 6/19.12.2025, Ord.7/19.12.2025”.
A similar request was made, also at the Court of Appeal, by over 150 employees of the Financial Supervisory Authority (ASF), who are contesting a decision of the ASF by which the salaries of the employees are reduced. This file, registered at the CAB on January 13, has a trial date of February 3, 2026.
At the end of last year, the Bucharest Court of Appeal ruled in favor of the over 330 employees of the National Communications Regulatory Authority (ANCOM) who contested the layoffs and income reductions included in the reorganization measures provided for by Law 145/2025, on streamlining the activity of autonomous administrative authorities. Thus, the court suspended the enforcement of the administrative acts, thus blocking the application of these measures, given that, although not final, the decision is enforceable.
