The Voice of Renewables are delighted to announce that the high-level international Moldova Energy Forum will take place in Chișinău on 12 June 2025.
Strong on the agenda: BESS development in Moldova.
The Republic of Moldova has taken another significant step toward strengthening its energy security by initiating the procurement of a state-of-the-art Battery Energy Storage System (BESS).
The procurement aims to improve the reliability of Moldova’s electricity networks, facilitate energy trade with Romania, Ukraine, and the European market, and support the integration of locally produced renewable energy.
Additionally, the energy storage system will enhance energy management optimization and assist the grid operator, SA Moldelectrica, in maintaining network flexibility and stability amid fluctuations in electricity demand.
Moderated by Mr Sorin Dolea, Founder, Dolea & Co., BESS panel will feature the following experts:
- Mr Nicolae Magdîl, Head of Renewable Energy Department, The Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Moldova
- Mr Sergiu Aparatu, Chief Executive Officer, Moldelectrica
- Mr Dionisie Ceban, Head of Electricity and Renewables Department, The National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE)
- Ms Marcela Lefter, Chief Executive Officer, Sedera
