Ker Toki Power ROMANIA, a supplier, optimizer, aggregator and trader of electricity, part of the Renalfa Solarpro Group, announces ambitious investment plans on the local energy market, aimed at developing renewable energy production capacities and energy storage projects, as well as expanding its operating activities for energy parks developed by other companies. The company began its activity in Romania by commercially operating renewable energy production facilities on behalf of other owners. Just a few months after launching operations, the portfolio managed by the company reached approximately 200 MW of installed power, and for 2026 an energy production of approximately 500 GWh is estimated.
The operating activity is complemented by solid investment plans. In the next 3-5 years, the company is considering developing its own stand-alone battery storage capacities, with a total estimated capacity between 300 and 600 MWh.
“For Ker Toki Power Romania, the priority is commercial operation and performance optimization for the production and storage capacities of our partners and the Renalfa Solarpro Group, of which we are part. We position ourselves as an aggregator and optimizer with an important role both on the local and regional market, where we operate together with sister companies under the umbrella of Toki Power Holding GmbH.
Romania is one of the most important markets for the group, benefiting from interconnections with Bulgaria, Hungary and Serbia – countries in which we are already active, at group level. Our strategy aims at an organic expansion on the Romanian market, in correlation with the regional development of the group”, declared Aurel Mîndrican, CEO of Ker Toki Power Romania.
“This year, we estimate a turnover of at least 60 million lei, which could even reach a double level, depending on the evolution of energy prices and the stage of commissioning a stand-alone battery under development. In the medium term, in the next five years, we aim to achieve an annual turnover 10-20 times higher”, stated Aurel Mîndrican.
In Romania, the Renalfa Solarpro Group is considering sustainable investments in hybridized solar parks with storage capacities, a model that contributes to the stability of the energy system and the efficient integration of renewable energy.
“The decision to develop such investments responds to the current challenges of the energy system, namely the need to integrate an increasing volume of renewable energy without generating imbalances in the grid. Through these projects, we aim to contribute to the stability of the energy system in Romania and the region”, emphasized the company’s general manager.
The Renalfa Solarpro Group has set ambitious objectives in the region for the next five years: developing production capacities of 1,000 – 1,200 MW from renewable sources, together with storage capacities of up to 2,000 MWh in stand-alone batteries.
Offering a full range of services tailored to customer requirements, Ker Toki Power Romania is consolidating its presence on the wholesale energy market in Romania and the region, by optimizing energy flows and capitalizing on the flexibility of energy assets. At the same time, the company is actively exploring the system services market, by operating its own storage batteries, as well as those managed for the group and partners.
“We do not exclude, for a period of up to five years, expanding the activity to the supply segment to end customers, depending on the evolution of the energy market”, Aurel Mîndrican also specified.
