RWEA’s position as CEO was a very exciting and challenging period, Ionel David told energynomics.ro. “I’m remaining close to the wind industry. The position of executive director was challenging and very exciting, I had an interesting mandate alongside the best in the industry,” David said.

The Romanian Wind Energy Association (RWEA) announced that as of 31 August 2017, David’s executive director’s term of office has ceased.

He has worked with the association since September 2009 and has made an important contribution both to the development of the organization and to the improvement of the legislation in the field. “The members of the association thank Mr David for all his work, for proven effectiveness,” reads a RWEA statement.

Starting September 1, 2017, the attributions of the executive director of the association will be temporarily taken by its vice-president, Adrian Borotea.
