In the presence of Energy Minister Victor Parlicov, the Informbusiness company presented today tests of the first electric bus assembled in Chisinau. The company aims to start series production in a few months, based on requests from several municipalities in Moldova such as Soroca, Orhei, Comrat and Briceni.

“We are already working on a more compact and energy-efficient electric bus model,” said Vitalie Esanu, founder of Informbusiness. The company is known for its autonomous trolleybus projects aimed at the suburbs, writes www.renergy.md. “With expertise in the production of essential electrical equipment for buses, trolleybuses, trams and trains,” [] “the company not only develops electric vehicles, but also exports key components for such vehicles to many countries.”

Chisinau-based Informbusiness has obtained a registration number in the international VIN code system, paving the way for local production of electric vehicles.

The electric bus presented today is based on an imported body, but also uses locally produced equipment. With a range of up to 70 kilometres, the vehicle can be charged both from the trolleybus network and from special charging stations.
