Hunt Oil Company of Romania, a subsidiary of US oil group Hunt Oil, wants to outsource 3D seismic prospecting services for one year in the Adjud area, Vrancea County. The company needs 3D data acquisition for an area of approximately 230 square kilometers, with costs of 7.3 million euros, VAT included, notes Mediafax.

The contract targets including the obtaining of the permits and licenses, identification of the landowners and gaining access to services, according to a company announcement. The project will be funded by the US subsidiary from its own sources. Services will be procured through open tender for the lowest price. Offers will be received until May 7, specifies the oil company.

Hunt Oil Company of Romania has a partnership with OMV Petrom concluded in 2010 on two oil fields in Adjud and Urziceni. Meanwhile, the two companies announced late last year the discovery of an oil and gas reservoir in the southern part of Buzau County, after a joint investment of 5 million euro in exploration.
