On July 29, GSP Offshore and OMV Petrom signed a framework contract to provide integrated offshore services for Istria’s shallow perimeter installations and equipment. The contract was awarded following a public procurement procedure in which three international suppliers and two local service providers attended.

As a general contractor, GSP will integrate a number of services including onshore and offshore operations and maintenance, as well as port operations, shipping, aviation and other support services.

The contract operations will be carried out by GSP Offshore SRL and with the support of companies in the GSP group. The project is scheduled to start in the second half of 2019 and has an estimated duration of 8 years.

According to financialintelligence.ro, Peter Rudolf Zeilinger, a member of OMV Petrom’s upstream activity directorate, confirmed that the tender for the provision of integrated offshore services of Istria’s small-scale perimeter installations and equipment, organized by OMV Petrom, was won by Romanian company GSP Offshore. The contract is estimated at over one billion lei.
