On June 15th, energynomics.ro organizes the 3rd edition of the Energy Strategy Summit, at Ştirbey Palace, Buftea, near Bucharest, starting at 08.30. The theme of this year’s Summit is “Shaping the future – the corporate perspective”.
Mr. Toma Petcu, the Romanian Energy Minister will have the opening speech.
The second session of the day ia dedicated to Strategies for Sustainability; it will reunite four brilliant minds, highly experienced personalities and excellent connoisseurs of their respective field of activity: utilities, O&G, renewables, and mining:

Concern over the climate issues is to many equivalent, almost completely, with supporting the production of energy from renewable resources. Unfairly in certain respects, the enetering of renewable energies in the market is considered to be the sole responsable for price distortions, network imbalances, or the removal of players with long history. It is too easy to forget that renewable energies are the main solution for reducing the pollution caused by the energy industry, as it is also forgot that the reduction in production prices in recent years has been possible to a large extent by the contribution of renewable energies. Besides, the renewable energies, through distributed generation solutions, are a promise for massive reduction of unavoidable losses in long-distance energy transport.
In a complex context, barely touched above, the energy market needs to be restructured; major utility companies, and energy carriers – electric, thermal, gaseous or liquid – are decisive actors alongside renewable electricity producers. Diversification and integration of different business lines seem to be the most attractive trajectories of the moment.
