FGSZ inaugurated the new compression station at the interconnection point with Romania

The Hungarian natural gas transport operator, FGSZ, a subsidiary of the MOL group, has inaugurated the new compressor station at the interconnection point with Romania from Csanádpalota, an investment that is part of the BRUA international pipeline project and which, next year, will it increases the gas import capacity of Hungary to 1.75 billion cubic meters per year.

The total value of the FGSZ investment in the new compression station amounted to about 18 million euro. To develop the new station, the FGSZ moved and reinstalled two compressors, each with a capacity of 4.5 MW, at Csanádpalota, which previously operated at the Hajdúszoboszló compression station, according to profit.ro.

The FGSZ release states that the interconnector between the two countries is currently operating at maximum capacity in the opposite direction, Hungary-Romania.
