Digitalization has a relatively good presence on the part of governmental institutions in Romania, but there are still stages in which you have to bring the paper to the counter, says Cristian Cârstoiu, partner and director of innovation EY Romania.

„We have a relatively good presence in digitalization on the part of governmental institutions online but at some point things are breaking, because there are stages when you still have to go to the counter, take papers and do not have the digital signature There are a lot of companies in Romania that do not have digitalization in their strategy for the next years. It is a problem at the level of perception. Romanian users are not accustomed to digitalization, still interacting with people,” said Cârstoiu.

According to a statistical data report presented by the innovation director of EY Romania, the mobile phone coverage rate has grown steadily, from 51% in 2015, it is expected to exceed 61% in 2020.

„We already see in many countries where a person has more than two phones,” said Cârstoiu.
Statistics also reveal that nearly two-thirds (62%) of users access the internet using their mobile phone and, in the case of over half of smart phone users, the first thing they do in the morning is to access their mobile phone.
