The Ministry of the Environment has launched the program through which religious units, public institutions in the social assistance system and NGOs accredited for the provision of social services can access funds from the AFM for the installation of photovoltaic panels.

“We have sent to the Official Gazette a new financing guide, a program through which we finance photovoltaic panels for our own needs and the delivery of surplus electricity in the national grid for local public authorities from the national social assistance system, for non-profit legal entities for the supply of social services and for cult units”, announced the Minister of the Environment, Mircea Fechet.

Photovoltaic installations with powers between 30 kW and 200 kW will be financed, and the total budget of the program is 250 million lei.

“Each beneficiary can receive a maximum of one million lei, ensuring 100% of these expenses. The town hall or the cult unit does not have to pay any money to access this program”, stated Fechet.

Financing is carried out from the budget of the Environment Fund Administration, from the revenues obtained from the sale of greenhouse gas emissions certificates.

The expenses for the design, purchase, assembly and commissioning of the panels are financed, as well as the consultancy expenses.

The implementation period is 18 months from the start date of the program.
