E.ON Energie Romania donated to the Oncology Clinic of the Timișoara Municipal Emergency Clinical Hospital three thermal power plants with the necessary equipment and the related installation, an investment of over 50,000 euros aimed at improving hospitalization conditions.

The three condensing thermal plants each have 120 kW, work in cascade and already provide hot water throughout the clinic. A mobile application that monitors the optimal functioning of the equipment was also made available to doctors.

“Arriving in an oncology hospital is an extremely painful situation, both for the patient and for his family. Every day is a struggle for survival. It is our duty to stand by them and offer the help that is in our power so that they can face this challenge as best as possible,” says Claudia Griech, general manager of E.ON Energie Romania.

“The fact that we finally have thermal plants is a big step forward for us. If even until now, for many years, we have been offering treatments at European standards, the conditions sometimes left a little to be desired and now, finally, we can also offer increasingly better conditions, and we hope that this is just one of the many steps towards progress,” adds Petra Curescu, primary medical oncology doctor.

The Timisoara clinic treats patients from Timiș county, neighboring counties and beyond. Only last year, the eight doctors from the Oncology Clinic of Timișoara Municipal Emergency Clinical Hospital treated approximately 3,000 patients, and in the first six months of this year, more than 2,000 cancer patients benefited from treatment.

In the last three years alone, E.ON Romania has supported the sanitary units in the country with donations and sponsorships worth over 120,000 euro, and since entering the Romanian market, donations and sponsorships have exceeded the value of 850,000 euro.
