So far, E.ON Energie Romania has completed 18 intelligent lighting projects with LED technology, with a total value of over 1 million euro for companies from various sectors of the economy, especially for those who have spaces for industrial, logistics, warehousing or offices.

The projects represent customized, turnkey solutions, and involved the installation of a total of about 11,000 lighting fixtures based on LED technology, but also complex automation works, which allow the control and monitoring of the lighting system and which bring extra energy efficiency. E.ON provided its partners with the audit of the lighting installation, the design of the technical solutions, the purchase and installation of the equipment, as well as the support for the financing of the entire project.

“Smart lighting solutions are a necessity for companies in the current context, in which we need to reduce energy waste. The benefits of implementing this solution to increase energy efficiency are significant. For example, reducing lighting costs can exceed 60%, which means savings of thousands or even tens of thousands of euros per year and at the same time contributes to improving productivity and achieving sustainability goals,” said Catalin Iordache, GM of E.ON Energie România.

An example is the partnership between E.ON and the poultry meat producer Avi-Top from Războieni, Iaşi County, part of the Kosarom group, for the rehabilitation of the lighting system at Farm Miroslava. The number of installed bodies was of 2,292 in 27 halls. For Sermis Electronic, a provider of services and software solutions for IT&C systems in Romania, E.ON replaced 927 lighting fixtures in the company’s production spaces.

The project implemented at the AGIL factory, located in Timișoara, a company known for its activity in the field of meat processing and production, meant the installation of 615 lighting fixtures in the production spaces, as well as in the office spaces and led to an improved quality of interior lighting and increased comfort for company employees.

At the same time, for Rud Florian Rieger from Sibiu, member of the international RUD Group, provider of innovative solutions with chain systems and components for different fields of applications, 1,074 lighting fixtures in production halls were replaced.

In each of these cases the lighting economy was of 50% – 60% of the consumption of the replaced systems, from the first day after implementation.
