Romanian-Danish Dialogue in the energy industry benefitted from a strong support from three powerful institutions which organized a conference dedicated to common efforts for an effective energy transition: the Embassy of Romania in Denmark, the Romanian Energy Center and the Danish Energy Industries Federation. Over 50 people enjoyed the in-person conference and many others followed the speech online.

The event was opened by H.E. Mr. Alexandru Grădinar, Ambassador of Romania in the Kingdom of Denmark. He welcomed all present and asked them to engage in exchanges of ideas and networking for strengthening the business relationship between Romania and Denmark. In his opening intervention, Corneliu Bodea, the president of the Romanian Energy Centre, highlighted the great challenges and the most prominent opportunities of the moment, when the recovery from the pandemics meets the energy prices crisis. “Both of our countries are champions in their regions of investing in the fight against the climate change”, he said.

“Our relationship with Romania are robust”, said Troels Ranis, director of the Danish Energy Industries Federation. “Our exports of energy technology to Romania grew and continue to grow, last year reaching 40 million euros. Several Danish companies are already present in Romania”, he stated. “We expect this exchange to grow much stronger in the coming years, as Romania offers ample market opportunities.”
