Prime Minister Ludovic Orban decided to replace the general director of the Administration of the Environment Fund, Andreea Kohlami-Szabo, appointing Dan-Cătălin Vatamanu (PMP) in this position, starting with September 2.

“My goal is to help align Romania with the environmental standards of the European Union. We must generalize the selective collection of waste and eliminate the pressure of infringement proceedings on our country,” said Vatamanu, according to PMP Mehedinti.

“We have real opportunities for the development of projects and attracting European funding for environmental policies at the level of all localities. We have major obligations resulting from our commitments at EU level. I will give that necessary impetus for environmental policies to become a sustainable reality,” added Vatamanu.
