In the area of Component 6 of the PNRR energy, coordinated by the Ministry of Energy, there are some delays, the most important being the stage of the call regarding the production of renewable energy from solar and wind sources, said on Thursday Cătălin Costache, general director of the General Directorate of Management Mechanism Recovery and Resilience from the Ministry of European Investments and Projects (MIPE).

“In the area of Energy Component 6 of the PNRR there are some small delays, they are not really small, but the most important delay of interest at this moment is the stage of the call regarding the production of renewable energy from solar and wind sources. We have a delay caused by the fact that The Ministry of Energy directed its capacity primarily to complete calls in the green hydrogen and cogeneration area before it could fully focus on this call, which was quite successful in that that it was oversubscribed three or four times,” stressed Cătălin Costache, according to Agerpres.

Regarding the investment stage, he emphasized that the contracting stage has been entered.

“I understand that the first 80 projects are already in the pre-contracting phase. So, from that point of view, finally something is happening. Indeed, there has been a delay and what we are trying to do, first of all, is to support the colleagues from the Ministry of Energy to supplement the time interval necessary for the implementation of these investments by another 12 months,” said Costache.

According to him, in the REPowerEU chapter we will have a series of important investments in the area of renewable energy production.
