Competition Council announced that it is analyzing the transaction by which GVK Omega SGPS Unipessaol Lda intends to take over Greenvolt Energias Renovaveis S.A. and its subsidiaries.

GVK Omega SGPS Unipessaol Lda, special investment vehicle established for this transaction, is owned by investment funds, vehicles and/or accounts assisted and managed by various subsidiaries of KKR & Co.

KKR & Co. Inc. is an investment company, which offers asset management solutions, as well as solutions for the capital and insurance markets. The company sponsors investment funds that invest in private capital, loans and real estate assets.

Greenvolt Energias Renovaveis S.A., Portugal, is a producer of electricity from renewable sources. In Romania, the company is present on the electricity production and commercialization market through several photovoltaic parks owned and operated by it and its subsidiaries, LJG Green Source Enery Alpha SRL and V-Ridium Solar Sun 6 SRL, as well as on the trading market of green certificates.

According to the provisions of the Competition Law (no. 21/1996), this transaction must be authorized by the Competition Council.
