GDF SUEZ Energy Romania group of companies is operating in the following areas: supply of gas and electricity, natural gas distribution, technical services for natural gas installations and central heating and electricity production. GDF SUEZ Energy Romania has the ambition to become a reference player in the Romanian energy market, well known for its customer service quality and durability of relationships established with its stakeholders (local authorities, suppliers, opinion leaders, the media etc). In June 2009, to highlight the appartenance to a world-class energy group, Distrigaz South has changed its name to GDF SUEZ Energy Romania. In parallel with the renaming the rebranding process also took place after which the company adopted the GDF SUEZ Group brand. Steering Committee of GDF SUEZ Energy Romania also oversees the Group subsidiaries engaged in marketing and sales in Austria (GDF SUEZ Gasvertrieb) and the Czech Republic (GDF SUEZ Prodej plynu).
