The Oltenia Energy Complex has submitted projects to attract a sum of 470 million euro from the Modernization Fund for the construction of photovoltaic power plants, wrote on Facebook the Minister of Energy, Virgil Popescu.

“We have submitted new investment projects financed by the Modernization Fund. These are 8 renewable energy production projects (Photovoltaic Panels – Rovinari, Pinoasa, Işalniţa, Turceni, Rovinari, Bohorelu, Tismana 1 and Tismana 2), and the capacity production will be of 735 MW,” Popescu said, according to Agerpres.

The total value of these projects is over 670 million euro, of which the amount requested from the Modernization Fund is about 470 million euro.

“We are ready to invest heavily in the Romanian energy system! For the CEO, so far, investment projects have been submitted with financing from the Modernization Fund totaling over 1.4 billion euro,” the minister said.
