Hundreds of businesspersons in various fields such as IT, health, construction and investment funds propose the Government and the other decision-makers that the Romanian state would eventually borrow funds from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to finance a public intervention of 30 billion euros in the economy, including through larger lending schemes for private companies and investments in highways and digitalization.

“Romania can, of course, appeal to both national and international financial institutions, including EBRD or IMF, as well as other types of financing, analyzing the best options from the perspective of the conditions, costs and maturity of the financing” – it is shown in document, according to Hotnews.ro.

The set of proposals was presented on Monday by the entrepreneur Marius Ghenea, on his blog, in the form of a “Manifesto for Saving the Romanian Economy”. The call is signed by hundreds of entrepreneurs and managers of private companies, from all sectors.
