Prime Minister Ciuca and the Minister of Energy announced on Thursday evening new measures in the field of energy, applicable from April 1, but they were only stated, without a document that all those concerned can consult and understand, which may represent a new period of uncertainty, considers Radu Burnete, executive director of the Concordia Employers’ Confederation.

“We welcome the Government’s intention to implement the measures for a longer period of time, but we believe that together with the energy industry, and also with the other sectors we represent, it takes time to understand in detail what is proposed and for analyzing the impact.

”Only through public consultation and social dialogue a correct calibration can be achieved, to ensure the predictability that the economy needs and to avoid the mistakes so far, which have meant the re-adjustment in a few months, which was both a disservice for consumers, as well as a disruption for suppliers,” said Radu Burnete, according to Agerpres.

In his opinion, the best measures are the transparent and predictable ones, to which all those interested have access.

The Interministerial Committee for Energy has decided on new support measures to protect the population and the economy from the effects of rising energy and gas prices, which will be implemented for a period of one year, Prime Minister Nicolae Ciuca said on Thursday.
