ANRE has, so far, approved the payment of 20.5 bln. lei to energy suppliers

The National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE) verified and sent for settlement from the state budget, for energy suppliers, an amount of over 20.5 billion lei, ANRE announced in a press release.

“Considering the activity carried out within ANRE regarding the collection, verification of data, the preparation of analysis sheets and the determination of the amounts due for settlement from the state budget through the budget of the Ministry of Energy, respectively of the Ministry of Labor – the National Agency for Payments and Social Inspection in accordance with the provisions of Government Emergency Ordinance No. 118/2021, with subsequent amendments and additions, for the period November 2021 – March 2022 and Government Emergency Ordinance No. 27/2022, with subsequent amendments and additions, for period April 2022 – July 2023, the situation is as follows: general total of support schemes 20,537,781,488.32 RON,” the press release states, according to Agerpres.

Thus, based on GEO 118/2021 (November 2021 – March 2022), a number of 82 companies submitted 351 applications, of which 52 were declared ineligible. The amount sent to the Ministry of Energy amounted to 2.425 billion lei.

At the same time, according to GEO 27/2022 (April 2022 – July 2023, regularization November 2021 – March 2022), a total number of 115 companies submitted 1,691 applications, of which 503 were approved for household customers and 909 for non-household customers, and 58 applications for domestic customers were declared ineligible. The amount sent to ME, non-domestic customers, is about 10.402 billion lei, and the amount sent to ANPIS, domestic customers, is almost 7.376 billion lei.

The total amount sent for settlement based on the two ordinances increased by 1.781 billion lei compared to the information posted on the ANRE website on August 18, 2023.

According to the press release, the analysis includes 234 applications submitted for settlement, these being in different stages of analysis, and “as the operators upload the data and supporting documents requested by the assigned experts, their verification and determination will be carried out with maximum efficiency”.
