ANRE fined six electricity distributors by 2.4 mln. lei

Six electricity distribution network operators were fined a total of 2.4 million lei for non-compliance with legal obligations towards consumers, according to the National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE).

Following the completion of the control actions, non-compliance with legal obligations being found, the operators of Distribuție Energie Electrică Romania, Distribuție Energie Oltenia, Delgaz Grid, E-Distributie Muntenia, E-Distributie Banat and E-Distributie Dobrogea were fined by 400,000 lei each.

According to ANRE, as a result of numerous petitions regarding the connection of prosumers to electricity distribution networks, control mandates were signed with electricity distribution operators to check how the rules for connecting to an existing place of consumption are respected of electricity production installations from renewable sources, according to Agerpres.

These rules were aimed at: respecting the deadline of a maximum of two working days, from the date of registration of the notification and the complete documentation, for the transmission to the applicant of the invoice for the payment of the tariff for updating the connection certificate; compliance with the deadline of a maximum of five working days from the date of registration of the notification and complete documentation, for the replacement or, as the case may be, the installation of the meter, for setting under voltage for the test period of the electricity production installation; compliance with the deadline of a maximum of three working days, from the date of submission by the prosumer of the minutes of receipt of commissioning, for updating/issuing and transmitting to the prosumer the connection certificate; compliance with the deadline of a maximum of two working days, from the date of the update/issuance of the connection certificate, for the final energization of the electrical installations related to the existing place of consumption to which installations for the production of electricity from renewable sources have been connected.
