E.ON Energie Romania and the MOL Group through MOL Romania have entered into a partnership to support the transition to electric mobility in Romania. As part of the partnership, 592 charging points from the MOL Plugee network in all six countries in which it operates have been integrated into the E.ON Drive app, thus offering users extensive and easy access to the electric vehicle charging infrastructure.

By integrating MOL charging stations, the E.ON Drive mobile app thus exceeds 2,000 charging points to which electric vehicle owners in Romania have access, and at a European level the app integrates over 500,000 stations. Last year, over 32,000 charging sessions were recorded in the app, with over 670,800 kWh being charged, on average approx. 55,900 kWh per month.

The collaboration between the two companies comes in response to the growing demand for sustainable transport solutions, to the needs expressed by customers and underlines their commitment to the decarbonization of the mobility sector. The integration of MOL Plugee stations in the E.ON Drive application allows users to locate, access and pay directly for charging services, all from a single digital platform.
