Public institutions and administrative-territorial units wishing to participate in the Program “Charging stations for electric vehicles in localities” can create, as of Wednesday, their user accounts in the computer application available on the website of the Administration of the Environment Fund (AFM) .

According to an AFM press release, starting with December 13, 2021, at 10:00, the applicants can submit the financing applications, together with the related documentation, in the computer application through the user accounts created, according to Agerpres.

The accounts created and used for enrollment in the Energy Efficiency Program in public buildings and in the Public Lighting Program remain valid and can be accessed to apply for funding under the Electricity Charging Station in Localities Program.

According to the quoted source, the budget allocated to the financing session is of 500 million lei.

The program is addressed to public institutions and administrative-territorial units organized at the level of municipality, city, commune and county, Bucharest municipality and its subdivisions, public institutions/ATUs located in tourist resorts of national and local interest and metropolitan areas of municipalities/Bucharest county, that can benefit from funds for improving the quality of the environment by reducing greenhouse gas emissions by stimulating the use of electric vehicles.

“Out of the desire to adapt the provisions of the financing guide to contemporary technical conditions, as part of the permanent conduct of our institution aimed at improving the normative acts underlying the financing lines in the portfolio, we decided to promote a draft amendment to the related Guide for Local Electricity Charging Station Financing Program. The amendment addresses the technical characteristics of recharging points and is intended to relax current conditions so that applicants can opt for a wider range of technical solutions to adopt. Considering that the launch of this financing line is long awaited and the development of the electric vehicle recharging infrastructure completes the package of measures intended to promote green transport in our country, the modification of the Financing Guide will be made as a matter of urgency, so that the technical documentation can be correlated with the new provisions,” said the president of the Administration of the Environment Fund, Lorand-Arpad Fulop.

Funding under the program is granted at a rate of 100% of eligible expenditure, up to the amounts that can be awarded for each category of applicants. The maximum amount financed for the installation of a recharging station is of 190,000 lei, a value that represents 100% of the total eligible expenses.

The AFM states that funding is granted for each category of applicants.

Thus, for a public institution the financing is of maximum 800,000 lei, for ATUs – Bucharest municipality – of a maximum of 8 million lei and for a subdivision of Bucharest, also of a maximum of 8 million lei.
