ANRE: Electricity imports in the first seven months of the year increased by 45%

Romania imported 2.13 TWh of electricity in the first seven months of the year, 45% more than in the same period last year, according to the latest report of the National Energy Regulatory Authority, for July. In the same period, exports amounted to 2.37 TWh, down 32% compared to January-July 2018, according to Agerpres.

Domestic consumption fell slightly, by 0.6%, compared to the same period of last year.

Domestic customers used 2.8% more energy. Domestic consumers in the regulated regime consumed less by 15%, and those in the competitive regime, by 72% more. At the same time, non-household consumption was 1.2% lower.

Domestic electricity production decreased by 5.4%, to 34.5 TWh.
