No less than 84 candidates have applied for the six positions in the Supervisory Board of the Society of Hydroelectric Power Generation of Hidroelectrica, announced the Ministry of Energy.

Transearch International was selected to assist the Ministry in the process of recruitment.

“We have 14 candidates per place for the Supervisory Board of Hidroelectrica. The 84 specialists have joined the selection organized by the Ministry of Energy and I want to thank them. Nothing can be changed without determination to fight the system and its traditions,” said Energy Minister, Victor Grigorescu.

“We have always complained that we have not changed people faster and more brutally, but such a practice would have been both illegal and unprofessional, especially. The fact that we have 84 candidates for the Supervisory Board of Hidroelectrica is a sign of hope and evidence that in the near future, the negative influence of some people who did no more than draw strings is over,” said Grigorescu.

Following the selection process, appointment of members of the Supervisory Board wil be made by the General Meeting of Shareholders.

Hidroelectrica is the fourth company where the Ministry of Energy has provided recruitment according to the Ordinance 109/2011 regarding the corporate governance of public enterprises. So far there have been selections for the Supervisory Board of Directors for Oltenia Energy Complex, the Asset Management Company for Energy and Oil Terminal SA.
