Ministry of Environment decided to supplement with 20 million lei the budget allocated for individuals in the program “Casa Verde”, which will allow to approximately 3,000 new applicants to receive subsidies for solar panels or heat pumps.
Almost two thirds of the total budget were consumed in the first two days of the period for submitting applications, according News.ro.
Ministry of Environment, Water and Forests (MMAPI) announced that it had decided to increase the budget allocated to the population in the program “Casa Verde”, from 60 million lei to 80 million lei, so that about 3,000 new beneficiaries to be able to access this program, economica.net cites.
“I very much enjoy the great interest which the public has shown for Casa Verde program, one of the important pillars in the Environment ministry’s approach this year in order to support the transition to green economy in Romania. Because the already allocated budget has been exhausted in some counties and in order to answer to the large number of applications, we have decided today (on Wednesday e.n.) to supplementa the Casa Verde budget for individuals. We intend to support as many as possible of the Romanian who choose to use renewables for heating,” said Cristiana Pasca Palmer, the Minister for Environment.
MMAPI states that the budget was distributed to each county based on the number of its inhabitants.
More than a third of the Casa Verde Program budget, representing about 22 million lei, was consumed on the first day of the period for submitting applications.
At the end of the working day on October 10, most cases were filed in Prahova (201 requests), Neamt (169 requests) and Vaslui (144 requests), according MMAPI. The fewest requests were submitted in Braila – 36 requests.
The Ministry shows that, in percentage terms, there are counties such as Mehedinti and Salaj where the budget has been exhausted n the first day.
Equipments for individuals, financed by ‘Casa Verde’, are solar panels and heat pumps, and the grant value is based on the type of installation, as follows: up to 3,000 lei, for installing solar panels unpressurized; up to 6,000 lei, for installing solar panels pressurized; up to 8,000 lei for installing heat pumps, excluding air to air heat pumps.
