Some ideas

Corina Popescu, CEO of Electrica SA, talks about the group’s medium and long-term action plans. “We analyze all the opportunities in the market, including those that could contribute to the realization of our ambition to become a regional player”, said Corina Popescu. In the long term, Green Deal will contribute to increasing the share of renewables and to more digitalized and integrated networks. “Electrica’s new strategy has taken into account these changes, and our goal is to have a balanced portfolio, which also includes renewables.”

Ion Sterian, CEO of Transgaz talks about the ongoing investment projects and insists they are not endangered in any way. “ It is a very clear message that I want to convey to our partners as well as to our investors and clients. The major investments planned by the company are not threatened, the sources of financing of the investments for the years 2020-2022 are ensured in the budget of revenues and expenses.” At the completion of the European projects, SNTGN Transgaz SA will be one of the first four energy companies in Europe and the basic pillar of the European Commission in this region, believes Ion Sterian.

In line with the dominant European trends, such as are summarized in the “Green Deal” concept, Adrian Borotea, executive vice president of the Romanian Wind Energy Association (RWEA) talks about the opportunities the green energy has to offer to Romania. “ In 2021-2030, the EU will finance new green investment projects with 1,000 billion euro, in non-reimbursable funds. The latest information show that about 32 billion euros will be allocated to Romania, says Adrian Borotea.
