The Minister of Economy, Energy and Business Environment, Virgil Popescu, attended on Thursday morning the General Meeting of Electrica, this being for the first time that a minister attends to a GSM.

“I participate in the General Meeting of Shareholders Electrica SA, which takes place at the headquarters of the company, as a legal representative of the Romanian state. It is a premiere. Through this gesture we prove responsibility”, wrote Popescu, in a message posted on Facebook, according to Agerpres.

He said that the Government is encouraging the re-professionalization of energy companies. “As I said… I dedicate all my energy to solving the problems, for the honorable mission that was entrusted to me by this mandate of minister. The message I intend to convey is that the new government encourages the performance of energy companies and their re-professionalization,” said Popescu.
