The Regulatory Committee of the National Regulatory Authority for Energy – ANRE approved on Tuesday, December 12, 2017, the specific tariffs for the electricity distribution service and the reactive electricity price for the distribution operators in 2018, according to a press release.

“As a result of ANRE’s analysis of the data transmitted by the concession distribution operators and the calculations on regulated revenues, taking into account the annual corrections made under the regulatory framework in force, the tariffs approved for 2018 register, compared to 2017, an average decrease of 1.08% across the country, for the eight distribution operators,” said the cited document.

Distribution operators had requested for the year 2018 an average increase in distribution tariffs by 9.78% compared to the tariffs approved for 2017, announced ANRE.
