The Bucharest executive has elaborated the way and timing of deregulation of the electricity market that will be sent to the European Commission. The deregulation will be done in stages, phased, until the middle of 2021, according to e-nergia.ro.

The prices regulated for electricity for final consumers will be fixed by ANRE only until June 30, 2021, not until the end of February 2022, as is the legislation in force now, as a result of GEO 114 and GEO 19/2019, which completes it. Therefore, the last resort suppliers (FUI-Enel, Electrica, CEZ and E.On) will have state regulated prices for the supply of energy to the domestic customers only until June 30, 2021.
