Ştefan Gheorghe is the new Executive Director of the Romanian National Committee of the World Energy Council (RNC-WEC)

Ştefan Gheorghe, Director of the Dobrogea Region, EnergoBit SA, took over the position of Executive Director of the RNC-WEC Association, starting with December 1, when the RNC-WEC Board of Directors approved the withdrawal from office Gheorghe Balan.

Stefan Gheorghe has over thirty years of experience in the Romanian energy sector, in various positions of execution and management of transmission, distribution, supply and generation of electricity.

As the Executive Director of RNC-WEC, Mr. Stefan Gheorghe will be responsible for planning, organizing and coordinating the current activity of the Association, internal relations with RNC-WEC members, external relations with the organizational structure of the World Energy Council, as well as with officials of the Romanian authorities, other energy and environmental organizations from the country and abroad; the organization of the activity plan (General Assembly, scientific and exhibition events, strategic actions). He will also be involved in ensuring the optimal framework for maintaining good relations with the current members of the Association, ensuring their support and loyalty, increasing the representativeness of the Association and attracting new members.

The World Energy Council (WEC) is the world’s largest energy organization. Established in 1924, the organization now has member committees in nearly 100 countries of the world, one of which is RNC-WEC, one of the founding members of the world organization.
