Rompetrol supports the authorities of the Republic of Moldova with fuel in the fight against the spread of the COVID-19 virus

KMG International, through its subsidiary Rompetrol Moldova, will donate 6,500 liters of fuel to the local authorities in Chisinau, Soroca, Hâncești, Balti and Ungheni. The purpose of the action is to support efforts to combat the spread of COVID-19 virus.

“It is time to show solidarity and support the efforts of the authorities in the fight against the pandemic caused by the new type of coronavirus, COVID-19. In the situation created, it is very important to support the doctors and the medical staff, who will work continuously and save the lives of people. I thank colleagues working under the Rompetrol brand for professionalism and for all measures taken to protect employees and customers, but also to deliver uninterrupted fuel in the safest conditions,” said Askar Zhaparov, General Director of Rompetrol Moldova.

The fuel will be allocated to the municipal authorities directly responsible and involved in disinfecting public places, delivering and providing medical products and equipment, and also in transferring medical staff to hospitals and resting places.

All companies that are part of the KMG International Group, including Rompetrol Moldova, have recently activated their crisis management plan for the Group’s operations and activities throughout the Black Sea region. It complies with all recommendations and decisions taken by local and central authorities.
