Romania registered the highest increase in EU industrial production prices in February

Industrial production prices fell by 1.3% in the euro area in February and by 1% in the European Union, compared to the same period of 2019, and Romania reported the most significant advance among the Member States, shows data released on Thursday by Eurostat.

In February, the largest annual increases in industrial production prices were reported in Romania (3.4%), Hungary (3.3%) and Bulgaria (3%), and the most significant decline in Denmark (minus 5.7%), Estonia (minus 4.7%) and Italy (minus 3.8%), according to Agerpres.

According to Eurostat data, industrial production prices fell 0.6% in the euro area and in the EU in February, compared to the previous month.

The largest monthly increases in industrial production prices were reported in Slovakia (2.2%), Ireland and Cyprus (both 0.2%), and the most significant decline in Denmark (minus 2.2%), Spain and Portugal (both with minus 1.3%).
