After the first nine months of the year, Romania registered a negative balance in the electricity trade of about 759 GWh, on the background of large imports in August and September. In each of these two months, the imports were over 500 GWh (515, and 501 GWh respectively).

It is unlikely that the situation will change until the end of the year, writes e-nergia.ro.

At the end of 2019, Romania will be in the position of net electricity importer, being hard to believe that in the last three months the Romanian producers could add 0.75 TWh in addition to the national consumption.
