Renewables are a “priority target” for Romgaz, says Volintiru, in Brussels

The General Manager of Romgaz Group Adrian Volintiru revisited in Brussels the idea that the natural gas giant will enter the renewable energy market in order to ensure itself a balanced energy portfolio. “One of our main targets is to expand our investments in renewable energy and to optimize the creation of new opportunities for cooperation in this area,” said Volintiru at the conference “Securing the Smart Grid towards 100% Renewables”, where, on behalf of Romania, they were also present Ionuţ Pogea, Romania’s energy ambassador to the EU and Mihai Păun, director of the Romanian Energy Center (CRE).

“Green energy orientation and an ensuring an energy mix to balance the company’s portfolio of resources, as well as investments in the petrochemical sector, currently under review. are investment options generating added value in the economy” said Adrian Volintiru.

Romgaz is the largest producer and the main natural gas supplier in Romania.
