Autonomous Nuclear Activities (RAAN), controlled 100% by state through the Ministry of Energy and for 3 years in bankruptcy, found abroad a potential buyer for a quantity of 3 tons of heavy water it wants to sell, according to profit.ro.

RAAN intends to sell also other assets in order to raise money for the payment of debts to creditors and has already started to pay to ANAF by swapping the administrative headquarters in Drobeta Turnu Severin in exchange for tax receivables.

Thus, RAAN creditors have mandated the Euro Insol liquidator to negotiate with an external bidder who has indicated his intention to buy 3 tonnes of heavy water owned by RAAN, in compliance with the rules of the National Commission for Nuclear Activities Control (CNCAN). The liquidator discussed the matter with the State Aid Directorate of the Ministry of Public Finance and the Competition Council, a recent RAAN document said.
